Today I am honored to have author Sarah Hegger visiting to showcase her new release, ‘Sweet Bea’, available September 1. 2014 through Lyrical Press.
Sarah, what can you tell us about ‘Sweet Bea?”
Is anything sweeter than revenge?
In a family of remarkable people, ordinary Beatrice strives to prove herself worthy. When her family is threatened with losing everything, she rushes to London to save them. Unfortunately, she chooses as her savior the very man who will see her family brought low.
Garrett has sworn vengeance on Sir Arthur of Anglesea for destroying his life when he was a boy and forcing his mother into prostitution for them to survive. He has chosen as his instrument Sir Arthur’s youngest daughter, Beatrice.
Can Beatrice’s goodness teach Garrett that love, not vengeance, is the greatest reward of all?
What would you like to share about yourself?
Who am I?
I was born British and raised in South Africa, and suffer from an incurable case of wanderlust. My match? A hot Canadian engineer, whose marriage proposal I accepted six short weeks after we first met. Together we have made homes in seven different cities across three different continents (and back again once or twice). If only it made me multilingual, but the best I can manage is idiosyncratic English, fluent Afrikaans, conversant Russian, pigeon Portuguese, even worse Zulu and enough French to get myself into trouble.
Mimicking my globe-trotting adventures, my career path began as a gainfully employed actress, drifted into public relations, settled a moment in advertising, and eventually took root in the fertile soil of my first love, writing. I also moonlight as a wife and mother.
I currently live in Draper, Utah, with my teenage daughters, two Golden Retrievers and aforementioned husband. Part footloose buccaneer, part quixotic observer of life, my restless heart is most content when reading or writing books.
I love to hear from readers and they can find me at any of the places below.
Wow, Sarah, that is some exciting bio! I bet all that excitement and wanderlust comes out in your writing. So where can someone get their own copy of ‘Sweet Bea’, available September 1, 2014 from Lyrical Press?
Amazon and the media links above.
Sarah, thank you for stopping by. You have a gorgeous cover for a wonderful book. Best wishes for Bea’s success.
Thanks for hosting Beatrice, Garrett and me.
It has been a pleasure. Best wishes to you all for happy endings.
Love your peripatetic life, Sarah. I lived in Cape Town for two years in elementary school, and graduated high school in Rome. I started school in Paria. So i have about six sentences in Afrikaans, nursery rhymes in French and I can craft a few good sentences in Italian. You book sounds delightful.
Susan, you sound a bit like me and thanks for the kind words on the book
Sarah, all of your books sound great and your bio is just amazing. Astounding, really.
Curious to know your experience with Lyrical Press and how it compares with SMP.
Thanks Beth. All publishers work differently and each contribute to your journey as a writer.
Sarah, Interesting blurb. Even if he want to bring her family low, he must be the Hero. Sounds like an interesting read.
