When I recently bought my house, a friend mentioned at some point the small glass panels in the study door had been painted over. I felt that was a shame and today I finally started scraping at the panels, just to see what I could discover. This is only after about 30 minutes of scraping both the inside and outside.
Can you just imagine how these lovely stained glass panels are going to look once they are all scraped of paint, cleaned inside and out and can truly let the light shine in? There is another row up above the large beveled pane that will also get cleaned up. This is a lovely old door and I hope I can restore it to some of its former brilliance.
