Happy new year everyone! Only a few days into 2016 and already I am bursting to share some exciting news. Are you ready? Here it is: the cover to my newest release, a sweet contemporary novella called “Glimpse Eternity”–

Now,  isn’t that just breath-taking? I. Love. It. Even the dog is a significant part of the story. “Glimpse Eternity” is my first release with Melange Books, {Melange-Books.com}  It is available for pre-sale starting February 6th with a release ‘go-live’ date scheduled for February 20. Just in time for a short and sweet Valentine’s themed read.

Here is a bit of what “Glimpse Eternity” is about:

Kasey Griffin is determined to prove Multiple Sclerosis isn’t going to define her life. Dedicated to her sister, her pets and her bookstore, she has everything for a full and satisfying life– the daily challenges of MS notwithstanding.

Then hunky musician Ben Salem rolls into town. Ben’s subtle charm quickly reminds Kasey she is more than a woman with a disease, she’s a woman with a heart. And Ben wants it.

Will Ben still desire her once he learns the details of her condition?

Now, for the giveaway part. There are two items up for grabs. First,  I have this lovely silver plated bracelet,  with a book design ABC charm and toggle clasp that I want to sent to one lucky commenter.

abc ster silver plated bracelet

I would appreciate if commenters offered for me to place them on my newsletter list, but it is not a requirement. I get that some people just don’t want to do that. That’s okay, you can still be the random winner just by leaving a comment below.

The other item is this adorable plush singing puppy. She spins around, singing to “Crazy in Love” and stands almost seven inches tall.

How cute is she? And befitting as this is a Valentine’s story and the character, Kasey, has a dog she calls Muttonchop.  So for a chance to win either of these wonderful items, just leave a comment and state which item you prefer. If you would like to be on my newsletter list, please mention that as well.  (It really only comes out once or twice a year, so there will be no flooding of your inbox, I promise. And it is a handy way to keep up on what’s new) Either way, you get a chance to win one of these cool prizes.

{The small print: winners will be chosen at random once sufficient comments have been collected to make a fair drawing. Winners will be notified by email address or contact method provided. Prizes will be mailed to winners via regular US postal service within one week of receipt of their mailing address. They will then be contacted via email to alert them prize is on its way to them.}

Okay, that’s all I have for now.

I am so excited to share the cover for my brand new book. This is my fourth novel, and third release through Soul Mate Publishing. Coming this November, ‘Chasing the Painted Skies’ is an alternative paranormal.

Part mystery, part treasure hunt, part ghost story and all romance…

Don’t you just love that cover? In honor of this book, I am holding a Rafflecoptor giveaway of this special bracelet:

adorned treasure hand painted bacelet  adorned bracelet 2

This is a hand painted wooden bracelet from GreaterGood.org. Adorned in brilliant colors, this bracelet is a hand-painted festival of Indian life and craftsmanship. Made by the skilled artisans of Community Friendly Movement, a fair trade group that creates job opportunities for marginalized women, empowering them with fair wages while utilizing their traditional skills.

  • Wood
  • 2.75″ across (7 cm)
  • Handmade in and fairly traded from India

Created to help women worldwide gain economic security for themselves and their families by earning fair wages for their handiwork, Global Girlfriend sources women-made, fair-trade imported, eco-friendly products. By supporting long-term partnerships with the artisans, it fosters equal employment opportunities, healthy and safe working conditions, technical assistance, and development strategies to help reduce poverty, one community at a time.

The connection to the story is simple. There is a bracelet one of the characters wears that was given to them as a gift and allows them special powers. And the bracelet being given away is called ‘Adorned Treasure’. There is also a hunt for missing treasure in the story as well. Clever, huh?

So are you wondering what the book is really about? Here is a short blurb:

Raven Koynes is a woman in hiding. Years ago she escaped to remote Gull Island Light Station, nestled far away in Lake Superior. She has carved out a life of peace and safety for herself. Until famed nature photographer, Sebastian Knight arrives–at the height of a nor’easter storm–to document the beauty of Gull Island. Unsavory treasure hunters also blow in with the storm, determined to find missing cargo from a sunken ship. And they are convinced Raven knows where its stashed. A power outage from the storm is the final threat.

Help arrives in the form of a stray German Shepherd Dog, who takes an immediate protective interest in Raven. He becomes her constant shadow and listening ear as she sorts out her growing–and conflicting–feelings for Sebastian and concern of the treasure hunter’s mounting impatience.

Meanwhile, Sebastian came to the island looking for treasure as well, in the form of photographs. While he isn’t so sure about a sunken boat and missing cargo, he only needs one look at Raven Koynes to know he’s found his own valuable treasure. One he hopes he can hang on to once she learns about his mysterious secret.

Now that Madeline, the resident ghost has found it out, it’s just a matter of time until Raven does too. And with the storm and power outage, no one is going anywhere any time soon.
